Interstate Waste Services is seeking a dedicated Manager of Compliance & Reporting to join our team. As a leader in the waste management industry, we specialize in providing superior non-hazardous waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services across the U.S. Northeast. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our operations adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, and uphold our commitment to environmental stewardship. Develop and oversee the compliance programs in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare, review, and submit timely and accurate compliance reports to regulatory agencies. Conduct environmental audits and implement strategies to resolve compliance issues. Stay updated on new legislation impacting the waste management sector; assess potential compliance risks. Train and lead a compliance team to ensure company-wide understanding and adherence to regulations. Work closely with other departments to integrate compliance requirements with business operations. Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders. Strong understanding of environmental regulations and reporting protocols in the waste management industry Excellent organizational and leadership skills Proficiency in compliance software and systems Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents Strong communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred Relevant environmental compliance certificates are considered an asset
