Comity is looking for an Energy Surety Producer to lead the
commercial scaling of our innovative solutions across the
utility-scale renewable energy market. In this role, you will:
Originate — Proactively source high-quality counterparties across
IPPs, utilities, traders, corporates, and data centers. You own the
relationship from first outreach through handoff to our deal team.
Provide market insight — Be our eyes and ears in the market.
Through efficient sales feedback loops, you continuously surface
what prospects care about, how competitors are positioning, and
what it will take to win — feeding that intelligence directly back
to our product and strategy teams to sharpen our offering. Execute
across commercial channels — Deploy the full range of sales and
marketing tactics with the guidance of our founders, to move
prospects through your funnel to close. Shape our origination
platform — Act as a core user and internal voice for our
origination systems, partnering with engineering to translate real
market dynamics into scalable workflows and AI-powered tools that
increase your speed, volume, and precision. As a key leader, you
will help build the financial backbone of our future energy
systems. We're excited about you because You're a proven energy
surety professional — You have 4 years of experience building
surety portfolios in the renewable energy sector, with a strong and
demonstrable sales track record. You know the space, the players,
and the products. You have a builder mentality — You thrive in 0?1
environments. You operate effectively under ambiguity, move with
urgency, and are motivated by creating a new category not just
optimizing an existing one. You do what it takes to move the
business forward, even when the playbook hasn't been written yet.
You are a true sales operator — You originate. You pick up the
phone. You go to conferences. You bring relationships, build new
ones from scratch, and develop the kind of personal connections
that convert into long-term business. You know how to position
differentiated financial solutions in competitive institutional
markets. You communicate with anyone, at any level — You
instinctively tailor your message to your audience. You can hold a
crisp conversation with an analyst and a strategic one with a
C-suite executive, and you know how to convey a value proposition
clearly and move every conversation forward. You leave people
knowing exactly what Comity does and why it matters. You operate
with high ownership and low ego — You are team-oriented,
collaborative, and generous with context. You elevate the
performance of the people around you and take accountability for
outcomes without needing credit for the work. You are excited about

understand energy collateral — You are familiar with the collateral
requirements that come up in PPAs and interconnection agreements,
and you have a general awareness of how surety bonds compare to
traditional letter of credit structures. You don't need to be a
collateral expert, but you can speak to it credibly. Licensed or
ready to get there — You hold a P&C producer license, or are
willing to obtain it along with MGA and Surplus Lines licenses. You
see licensing as part of the job. Professional involvement is a
plus — Active engagement with the National Association of Surety
Bond Producers (NASBP) and the National Association of Independent
Sureties (NAIS) is a bonus. Location New York City. At Comity, we
