provides caring and competent in-home care to help LIFETIME clients
remain safely in their home by maintaining a clean, safe and
comfortable home environment. Caregiver provides care and support
in order to keep the client at the optimal level of physical and
mental function at home. Live In Caregiver remains in client?s home

Responsibilities 1. 1. tMaintain client confidentiality and
privacy.r n2. tRead and follow each client?s individual care plan
and provide outlined services. r n3. tProvide personal care to
include bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming skin care, mouth
care, shaving (with electric razor only). r n4. tEnsure client is
clean, comfortable and dry at all times. r n5. tPlan and prepare
meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and encourage the
client to eat a healthy diet. Assist with eating when necessary. r
n6. tWash client?s personal laundry and bed linens.r n7. tMaintain
a safe and comfortable home environment that eliminates accident
hazards. r n8. tRemind client to take the correct medication at the
right time. r n9. tHelp client with safe exercise, ambulation and
transferring. r n10. tSupervise and monitor daily activities. r
n11. tPerform light house cleaning including dusting, vacuuming,
mopping and keeping all living areas clean. r n12. tMonitor
client?s status and report changes to supervisor. Keep the
supervisor informed of the care being provided and any questions or
issues that arise. r n13. tAccompany client to medical
appointments. Make sure all follow-up tests or appointments are
scheduled and completed. r n14. tDoes errands including shopping,
going to the post office and dry cleaners. r n15. tHelp client stay
in touch with family, friends and the community. r n16. tAssist
with making phone calls and appointments. r n17. tParticipate in
reading, games, and other activities to help the client maintain
mental function. r n18. tAssist with mail sorting and filling out
forms. r n19. tProvide care and feeding of pets. r n20. tOrganize
cupboards, closets and open areas. r n21. tTakes all unpaid breaks
and reports any interrupted breaks to supervisor. r n22. tKeeps
accurate time, attendance and task records using telephony to clock
in and out or activity sheets when appropriate. r n23. tOther
Duties as outlined in Client Care Plan. QualificationsEDUCATIONHigh
School Diploma or GEDEXPERIENCEWork experience with geriatric
population, in related field preferredLICENSURECertified CNA or
HHASPECIAL SKILLSIs trustworthy, reliable and enjoys helping people
and is able to work as a team player r nCan work independently of
regular direct supervision and follow written directions. r nCan
use sound judgment while adhering to all company policies and
guidelines. r nAbility to cook, clean and perform all household
tasks r nAbility to provide personal care assistance and homemaking
as neededPHYSICAL DEMAND1. tThe physical demands of this position
range from sedentary to medium-heavy, i.e., constant handling of up
to 10 pounds, to occasional handling of up to 70 pounds. r n2.
tStanding, walking and handling are performed on a constant basis.
Carrying, bending, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling with whole
body and with arms are performed on a frequent basis. Sitting,
squatting/kneeling, twisting, and reaching are performed on an
occasional basis. r n3. tThe highest physical demand of this
position is incurred while transferring a patient. Examples include
sideling to sitting, sitting to standing, and lifting from chair,
commode, toilet, bed or floor. Loads lifted or forces exerted up to
70 pounds per person in height range of 0-36 inches. r n4. tDaily
driving an automobile varied distances to client locations, as well
as constant entering and exiting of the automobile, may be
required. Enter building using varied levels of stairs in order to
