Responsibilities

    1. Performs the duties of a scrub person.
  • 1.1 Performs technical skills proficiently during procedures while demonstrating knowledge of sterile technique by adhering to principles of asepsis 100% of the time.
    1. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility in daily performance of role.
  • 2.1 Assumes responsibility for delegated activities 100% of the time as observed by supervisor.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.

EXPERIENCE

Surgical Tech experience preferred, but not required.

LICENSURE

Completion of licensed Certified Surgical Technology Program. Must be certified within 1 year of hire.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Good interpersonal skills. Evidence of successful completion of MCH/OR training program (score of 85% or better on exam).

PHYSICAL DEMAND

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. They may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
