The Global Research Organization is a multi-disciplinary
team, with expertise in chromatography and mass spectrometry . The
group seeks a highly capable scientist , skilled in chromatography
, to work in a wide-ranging role which includes advancing
fundamental understanding of separation science and developing new
prototype technologies .
Waters Global Research labs are located in Milford, MA Waters
Global HQ and Cambridge, MA at Waters Innovation Hub.
Responsibilities Identify, champion, and develop new scientific
ideas whilst advising on existing research and development
Collaborating with academic and industrial partners on emerging
technology in the areas of biological and cell and gene therapies.
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs through
collaborations and feed this information into the Global Research
organization to develop next generation scientific
Collaborate with research scientists and engineers on instrument
Provide scientific leadership which significantly impacts
research projects and the wider scientific community through
patents and publications in internationally recognized
Travel the world ( Qualifications A graduate degree in
analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline.
Considerable work experience (5+ years) and knowledge gained in an
appropriate environment to make a significant contribution within a
world-class science organization is strongly preferred.
An advanced degree in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or
related discipline with a record of peer-reviewed publications and
demonstrated experience in biotechnology is preferred. Applicants
should have hands-on experience in biochemistry. The ideal
candidate should be highly motivated with demonstrated ability to
work on interdisciplinary research projects
Proven practical experience developing analytical methods using
chromatography and/or mass spectrometry for biological therapeutics
using Waters or other related technologies.
Proven practical experience in general analytical laboratory
procedures, including sample extraction and sample preparation of
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and significant
evidence of building good working relationships with collaborators,
including biologists and/or biomedical researchers.
Must be a self-starter and have excellent organizational, team
leadership, and networking skills.
