At Interstate Waste Services, a leader in comprehensive waste management in the U.S. Northeast region, we are seeking an Overnight Route Operations Supervisor to oversee and ensure efficient operations during nocturnal hours. This pivotal role is responsible for supervising the nighttime waste collection and transportation activities, guaranteeing adherence to safety standards, and optimizing routes for maximum efficiency. This position necessitates a proactive, diligent leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to promoting sustainability through effective waste management practices. Oversee and coordinate the nighttime operations of waste collection and transportation. Supervise, train, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Optimize and maintain efficient routes while ensuring service delivery meets client expectations. Manage vehicle repairs and maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness and compliance with relevant regulations. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with environmental laws, safety standards, and company policies. Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations effectively during nightshift operations. Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Proficiency in route management software and GPS systems. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 6 months. Certification in waste management or environmental compliance is a plus. First Aid and CPR certifications.
