About Us: Milford Regional Medical Center is a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital located in Milford, Mass. and serves patients from more than 20 towns in Central Massachusetts. The 149-bed medical center is a nonprofit, acute-care facility, where more than 300 primary care and specialty physicians are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community with dignity, compassion and respect. Statement of Purpose: Enters and maintains schedules in scheduling/timekeeping software and fills open shifts as directed by Nursing Leadership. The Scheduling & Staffing Coordinator collaborates with Nursing Leadership in order to book unfilled shifts in the assigned departments and communicates with the Patient Flow Manager or Administrative Clinical Supervisor as needed. The position is responsible for filling sick calls, reviewing and accepting or rejecting suggested schedule swaps. Through the use of the Kronos Timekeeping, the Staffing Coordinator will enter bonus shifts, make necessary edits to the timecard such as floated shifts, enter time off and other administrative entries to prepare weekly timecards for Manager review or approval, as needed. Collaborates with Nursing Leadership on all shifts to fulfill unit-staffing requirements in the assigned departments on a continual basis. Other duties include special projects as designated by Nursing Leadership. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma and/ or Equivalent Certification/License: None required Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) Previous experience with scheduling and/or timekeeping software Interpersonal, relationship-building and influence skills with ability to positively impact others and bring to consensus Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask Ability to create complex staffing schedules together utilizing established guidelines and rules and to analyze, problem solve and troubleshoot scheduling issues that arise Previous experience in healthcare staffing office or other complex staffing role highly desirable Previous experience with Kronos timekeeping software, a plus
