globe. Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our Commack Medical
Oncology team as a Per Diem Outpatient Clinical Nurse, where you
will support patients receiving advanced cancer care through
triage, assessment, education, symptom management, and infusion
support in a high-performing ambulatory environment. As part of a
collaborative, mission-driven team, you will help deliver
exceptional, compassionate, and research-informed care to patients
throughout their treatment journey. Role Overview: Work within a
Nurse-Physician/APP-based Ambulatory Care Practice Model to support
high-quality outpatient oncology care. Provide clinical support to
nursing and provider staff across assigned ambulatory practices.
Assist with management of a multi-specialty oncology caseload,
including: Hematology Sarcoma Thoracic Head and Neck
Gastrointestinal Genitourinary Gynecologic Breast Medical Oncology
Perform clinical triage for patients in person and via telephone,
following established nursing protocols. Conduct comprehensive
patient assessments and provide patient and family education,
symptom management, and care coordination. Support and collaborate
with the Outpatient Infusion team as needed, including assisting
with infusion-related patient care activities within scope of
practice. Function as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure
continuity of care throughout treatment, follow-up, and
transitions. Key Qualifications: Active New York State RN license
and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum 1.5
years of medical/surgical nursing experience. Minimum 1.5 years of
oncology nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting (strongly
preferred). Experience in outpatient infusion or the ability to
float into infusion settings is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required. Core Skills: Proven ability to take
initiative, adapt to change, and approach challenges with urgency,
energy, and enthusiasm. Strong clinical judgment and
decision-making skills, with ability to maintain high standards of
nursing care. Commitment to ongoing professional development and
learning. Approachable, empathetic, and skilled in caring for
diverse patient populations. Effective communication skills, with
the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences. Flexible
and adaptable in a float environment, adjusting to shifting
priorities and clinical needs. Demonstrated ability to build strong
patient and team relationships and deliver patient-centered care.

Schedule: PER DIEM 10-hour shifts 8am-6pm, Monday - Friday Helpful

Offerings Pay Range: $18.00 - $170.00 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
