Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation
combining a highly-regarded hospital with a distinguished medical
college, is looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse II specialized
in Neurosciences and Epilepsy Monitoring to join our team. This
part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality, specialized
nursing care in our state-of-the-art Neurosciences & Epilepsy
Monitoring Unit during night shifts. The successful candidate will
be actively involved in patient assessments, the administration of
medications, and the management of sophisticated monitoring
equipment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to
support patient care and neurological research. Perform detailed
patient assessments and participate in the development and
implementation of individualized care plans. Administer medications
and monitor patient responses to treatments. Operate and maintain
sophisticated monitoring equipment specific to neurology and
epilepsy. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including
physicians, surgeons, and researchers to provide holistic care.
Engage in continuous education to stay current with advancements in
neurosciences and epilepsy care. Ensure compliance with hospital
and departmental policies and procedures. Proficient in
neurological patient care and monitoring Ability to use and
maintain medical equipment for epilepsy monitoring Strong
communication and collaboration skills Capable of handling stress
and high-demand situations Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the
state of New York. Certification in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) or
similar is highly preferred.
