opportunity to join our team as a Chief Pathologist Assistant. In
this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the daily
functioning of the gross room. Assists in orientation and oversight
of the Pathology Residents. Job Responsibilities: Monitors work
flow in the gross room on a daily basis and deploys personnel
appropriately. Performs other duties as assigned Performs daily
pathology functions including assisting with frozen sections and
processing specimens from the operating room. Assists in quality
improvement initiatives and counsels staff on quality issues.
In-service Pathology Assistants on new policy and procedures and
monitor compliance. Ensures that pathology specimens are properly
handled by the Pathology Assistants. Minimum Qualifications: To
qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree of Pathology Assistant or
related field. 2 - 4 years experience as a Pathology Assistant.
Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills. Good
computer skills; especially with anatomic pathology laboratory
information systems. Strong knowledge of processing of pathology
specimens. Required Licenses: NYS Pathologist Asst (Permit),
NYS-Pathologist Assistant Lic, ASCP Cert, Am Assoc Pathlgst Assts
Certn Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Pathology
Assistant. 1 - 2 years Supervisor of Pathology Assistants.

Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $111,252.50 -
$144,703.13 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of
factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital

bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation
