Job Title: Radiology CT/X-ray Technologist Profession:

Shift: 4x9.5 Hours per Shift: 9.5 or 9 Experience: Minimum years of
experience required License: NYSDOH License Certifications: BLS,
ARRT Must-Have: High School Diploma or equivalent required Graduate
of a program in Radiologic Technology Description: We are looking
to fill an immediate need for a dual modality CT/X-ray
technologist. The role includes a 37.5-hour weekly schedule. The
position requires three 9.5-hour shifts and one 9-hour shift per
week. Coverage will include weekend shifts and floating weekday
shifts. Flexibility with evening and night hours is essential. This
position will provide support at multiple sites. Candidates must
maintain behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust. The
technologist should be capable of working
independently/unsupervised. Demonstrate proficiency in the
performance of Cat Scan Imaging Exams. Apply pediatric
immobilization devices adhering to safety precautions. Produce
computerized tomographic Radiographs of designated anatomical areas
as ordered/directed. Prepare or enter written documentation as
required by the department. This includes informed patient consent
and patient chart documentation. Must observe sterile and aseptic
techniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies, and
accessories on a regular basis. Assess the physical needs of adult
and geriatric patients. Recognize and ally patients' fears and
apprehensions about exams. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of
work areas. Complete requested examinations in a timely manner
while observing radiation safety standards. Address the special
needs of each age group served. Assist in making reasonable
accommodations for patients with special needs. Observe bio-safety
and radiation safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities and
duties may be changed or added at any time. Perform related duties
in PACS. Responsible for knowing and adhering to established
department policies and procedures, including all aspects of
safety. Ensure timely completion of requested examinations while
observing radiation safety standards. Must be computer literate.
Select and operate equipment as directed. Be aware of and capable
of preventing Sentinel Events. Demonstrate proficiency in the
performance of all diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations and
equipment. Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patient
confidence and trust. Capable of working
independently/unsupervised.
