week7a-3pWhat You'll Do:As the Wound Care Nurse, you'll be
responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring wound
conditions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Your
care planning and interventions will improve wound healing and
enhance the comfort and quality of life our residents. You will be
practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator to
raise the overall quality of care to individuals with complex wound
care needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and expertise of
wound care and prevention program for residents and staffConduct
comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care
plans for patients exhibiting skin complicationsProvide direct
wound care interventions, including dressing changes, debridement,
and wound irrigationReview, update and direct the implementation of
wound care & prevention policies and proceduresMonitor wound
healing progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment
modalitiesEducate residents, families, and staff on wound care
protocols and prevention strategiesCollaborate with physicians,
wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to
coordinate careMaintain accurate documentation of wound
assessments, interventions, and outcomes for regulartory compliance

Care Nurse include:Valid state RN nursing licenseDegree in nursing,
epidemiology, biology, microbiology preferred2+ years in wound care
management, preferably in a Long-Term Care settingFamiliar with
research-backed wound care and cleansing productsCertified Wound
Care Nurse (CWCN) Certification preferredStrong clinical
assessment, organizational, and critical thinking skillsCompassion
and empathy in caring for residents with complex wound care
needsInterest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically
ill with the ability to work with bothExcellent communication and
interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a
