Overview
The Strategy & Business Development global function within Waters Division focuses on determining the priorities for Waters Division, as well as working across the Business Segments to identify and Align Organic and Inorganics Growth Opportunities. -
The Waters Division Strategy Director will be responsible for developing the strategy and executing the top priorities to drive the achievements of the Waters Division's strategic objectives. Working in partnership with the Waters Division, heads of finance, HR, and business units this role will have ownership for the long-term strategy for a $2B+ division core to Waters's overall business. This individual will have a significant impact on Waters's long-term and short-term objectives, spearheading strategic initiatives and aligning resources between departments. This individual will function as an integrator connecting functions and business units that would otherwise remain siloed.
Responsibilities


  • Partnering with the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development to set strategic priorities and execute through a broad range of stakeholders, including developing and leading strategic planning and alignment processes
  • Supports the development and execution of strategic initiatives, developing a strategic framework to enable Waters to ensure its long-term competitiveness
  • Collaborate across the Waters division using quantified data to identify opportunities for growth within the Business Segments' areas of responsibility
  • Support cross-business segment portfolio management, interfacing across R&D, global operations, and commercial functions to enhance productivity and execution.
  • Draft presentations and materials for Executive Committee, board meetings, and investor conferences. -
  • Represent the Waters Division at external conferences and shareholders -
  • Facilitate external partnerships, strategic alliances, and acquisitions to drive growth -in collaboration with Director Strategic Partnerships.
  • Coordinate special projects on behalf of the Senior Director of Strategy and Business Development -
  • Support interdependent projects to enable the business units to achieve their strategic and operational objectives -
