Job Summary

The assistant manager of customer returns will be leading the customer returns team in all critical areas. This person will also be in charge of scheduling, staffing, training, and team expansion. Aside from the core initiatives related to the team, this person will also be responsible for ensuring that all customer returns are processed accurately and within 24-48 business hours of their arrival to the facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Management of all customer return related staff and processes
  • Development and implementation of shift and scheduling that can accommodate volume growth and future needs
  • Holding all supervisors and leads accountable for meeting and reporting daily KPIs and metrics
  • Recruiting and interviewing potential hires
  • Training and development of staff as needed
  • Using appropriate data to analyze composition of customer returns
  • Providing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in relation to customer return operations and compositional trends
  • Coordination with QA, Outbound, and Product teams as it relates to any necessary process changes made apparent from data analyzation
  • Coordination with other teams within the department and in the DC in regards to volume, needs, and proper staffing allocation
  • Accurate allocation and reporting of scrap inventory
  • Disposal, reclamation, and recycling of all scrap inventory that meets internal CSR standards
  • Reporting all pertinent and necessary information to the Reverse Logistics Manager
  • Actively promoting a workplace culture where employees are treated fairly and encouraged to provide feedback
  • Developing career paths for all employees on the customer returns team
  • Conducting reviews and providing critical feedback for all employees on the customer returns team
  • This position reports to the Reverse Logistics Manager

    Qualifications And Skills
    • Prior experience in operations management
    • Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups
    • 5S workplace skill set
    • Excellent planning and implementation strategies
    • History of effectively teaching and guiding employees including career pathing
    • Prior experience in warehouse leadership
    • Ability to display findings in clear and effective presentations
    • Strong computer skills
    • Prior experience with data analysis
    • Ability to motivate and inspire teams and individuals within teams
    • Strong emotional intelligence and high levels of empathy
    • An inquisitive mindset that seeks knowledge, learning and growth

      Compensation
      • $55-$65K/year
