Specific Responsibilities What You'll Do: As the Product Manager,
you will develop new product marketing materials, preparing sales
channels to our customers while taking initiatives that will attain
profitable sales growth, to meet organizational profitability
goals. Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Partners with the Business Unit General Manager and Sales
Manager relative to product planning, development, marketing, and
release. Focus on developing products to meet market needs and
preparing sales channels to effectively take products to
- Prepare the Annual and Five-Year Product Plans for the
- Proactive leader for improving the product development process
and taking products to market. Improve the concept to release date
- Provide accurate market and cost information for the financial
analysis of product opportunities/priorities. Work with the
Controller/Operations manager to provide accurate financial
justification in product development and manufacturing.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and vendors to define,
design, and deliver new products and product enhancements that meet
the needs of the company, its clients, and the end users.
- Actively participate with sales staff in developing product
marketing plans. Assist in developing media programs to support
targeted products and attend tradeshows.
- Work with corresponding companies with PigTek and CTB to
identify common needs and cost reduction opportunities.
- Develops and maintains product documentation, product
instructions and user guides, product metrics and sales and
marketing content strategy. Requirements Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree within a technical or engineering
discipline; or an equivalent of education and relevant
- Experience: 3-5+ years of product management experience with
Capital Equipment; Experience with North and South American
- Certification(s): n/a
- Functional Skills: Proven ability to research, develop, plan,
and execute on sales initiatives. Exceptional understanding of
Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM). Excellent organization
skills, with strong project management and prioritization skills to
meet timelines. Comfortable multi-tasking; Experience providing
onsite training to staff, customers, and distributors. Experience
with advertising/branding highly preferred.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong PC, Microsoft Office, with
the technical aptitude to understand how to assemble,
trouble-shoot, and repair mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
with strong presentation skills required.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated, possessing a drive to
compete and succeed; energetic, honest, with the ability to listen,
network, and influence others; models high ethical standards.
- Culture Match Behaviors: Collaborative, team-player with the
ability to interact with other personnel and with other cultures.
Other Important Information: Salary : Salary is commensurate with
proven expertise. Reports To: VP & General Manager Core Hours: 8:00
am - 5:30 pm; typical day is 8-9 hours Typical Work Week: M-F; some
Saturdays and travel required for urgent matters; 42-45 hours a
week on average Direct Reports: --3 Work Conditions: Primarily an
office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing areas
