You Will Do: Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Repair Design Engineer
(RDE) to work within the Cases & Composites Group of the Global
Services Engineering (GSE) Commercial Repair Group. The RDE is
responsible for the development of repairs for commercial gas
turbine engine parts, including development of the repair concept,
writing of the repair, obtaining internal approvals, obtaining FAA
regulatory approval, and coordination with the end user.
Participate in a multi-discipline team to establish repair design
requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the
quality requirements of the Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM)
parts. Research operating environments and functionality of
components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop
strategies which will return damaged parts back to service. Create
technical documents that provide engineering requirements for
repairs. Interface with commercial Product Line Management (PLM) to
secure priorities and understand programmatic issues. Support the
Customer in the resolution of field supportability issues. Ensure
repair tasks are completed to schedule and on budget.
Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Science,
Technology, Engineering or Math and 8 years of mechanical design,
manufacturing engineering or prior relevant experience. Or an
advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience US Citizenship
required due to government contracts. Travel up to 10%.
Qualifications We Prefer: Exposure to cost and schedule management
or team leadership. Experience with manufacturing processes such
as, machining, plating, plasma spray, welding or brazing.
Experience in the use of Unigraphics/NX or similar Computer Aided
Design (CAD) application What is my role type? In addition to

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work
primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance
workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status
throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles,
commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal
responsibility. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure
hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of
the interview process in-person at one of our office locations,
regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or
remote. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500
USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the

experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as

these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a
