Job Description:

Talascend is currently seeking a Subsystem Validation Engineer for an opportunity in Milford, MI. RESPONSIBILITIES:. Implement and execute test plans on prototype properties, HiL benches, and system benches, to compare with requirements and complete test reports to confirm conformance to requirements.. Comprehend software changes to fix anomalies, and determining, with the guidance of the system leads and/or solution champions, the proper test environments, then if necessary, running the tests to confirm the issue remain fixed in the integration build.. Swarm around tasks along with other Scrum team members.. Document test anomalies with sufficient details, collecting data using advanced test equipment.. Report status of assigned software validation and/or maintenance tasks. Support in-vehicle lead calibration engineer and lead development engineer to assure propulsion system meets VTS and SSTS requirements. Support and lead resolution of vehicle, plant, or customer issues.. Support internal functional departments and programs- (i.e. Design & Release, Validation, VDDV, Durability, Asm Plant, Quality, Dealerships, Roush, CTF, Top 50, etc.). Support Validation activities to improve/define CTS, SSTS, VTS technical specifications and requirements. QUALIFICATIONS:. BS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science. Minimum of 2 years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in job-related area required. Valid US Driver License. Experience with Systems Engineering process and requirements flow-down. Experience testing, calibrating, or developing hardware in electrification or powertrain. Experience with HIL benches (e.g. dSPACE), Simulink, Stateflow, ETAS INCA, CANALYZER and Vehicle Spy.. Proficient with computer and data acquisition systems. Experience in data analysis to optimize testing or model results. Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish tasks under minimal direction. Excellent Planning and Problem-Solving skills. High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others, and ability to establish Peer Relationships Skills and Abilities. Preferred Qualifications:. 5+ years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in job-related area. Masters of Science in Engineering degree ( MEng, M.E. or M.Eng.). Experience in scripting. Experience with vehicle and bench validation at component or subsystem level Quick to learn, ambitious, and willing to work hands-on with vehicles and benches.. Programming knowledge; vehicle systems. Strong technical capability and a creative attitude help develop original solution. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction. Exposure to propulsion system calibration in test and vehicle environment. Familiarity with government test cycles (e.g., FTP, US06, WLTP, RDE). Experience with Systems Engineering process and requirements flow-down. Knowledge of PRTS+ system and principals. Knowledge of RedX, DFSS, and other formal problem-solving techniques. Level 2 MPG Driving Certification preferred. We thank all applicants for their interest.
