January 2025 start date**Teacher VisionPharos Academy Charter
School is looking for a teacher who is an "uber" kid person. The
ideal candidate absolutely loves to teach, train, and push students
both academically as well as behaviorally. There is an
understanding that messing up and failure is a natural and welcomed
part of the learning process. In this teacher's classroom, all

happens before students enter the classroom (intellectual

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging and effective computer science
lessons for middle school students (grades 6-8).
- Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to
students and parents.
- Stay current with developments in computer science education
and technology, and integrate these into the classroom.
- Engage students in hands-on, project-based learning
opportunities to deepen their understanding and application of
computer science concepts and AI.What We Offer You

at $80,000*

Outcomes
- At minimum, 75% of all students will reach proficiency (score
of 65% or higher) in Computer Science as measured by internal
interim assessments.
- At minimum, 33% of all students will exceed proficiency (score
of 85% or higher) in Computer Science as measured by internal
assessments.
- Teacher will score proficient in classroom management and youth
development as measured by student referral numbers, suspensions,
and internal measurement tools.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or secondary education
related field of study.
- Strong knowledge of foundational computer science concepts and
programming languages (Understanding of Python & JavaScript
required).
- Experience working with school-aged children in an academic or
youth development setting required.
- At least 1 year of experience teaching computer science at the
