globe. Job Description We are seeking a resourceful, highly
organized, culturally fluent Creative Producer (Freelance) to
support the end-to-end development and production of new video
concepts, short-form series, and original IP within Overheard. This
role is hands-on and fast-moving — ideal for someone who loves
shaping ideas, coordinating shoots, working with talent, and
guiding content through every stage of the production lifecycle. As
a Creative Producer, you’ll help bring new formats to life from
concept ? pilot ? refinement ? rollout, ensuring creative
excellence and smooth production execution on every project. This
is a critical role for a multi-hyphenate creative who thrives in
the world of short-form, social-first content. You understand
TikTok pacing, Instagram editing cues, YouTube Shorts hooks, meme
humor, and the production realities of social video. You bring
ideas to life quickly, solve problems with ease, and keep projects
moving forward with clarity and momentum. This is a Freelance
position, prioritizing candidates in the New York City area.
Responsibilities: Production Planning & Pre-Production Support
creative leads in developing concepts, scripts, shot lists, and
run-of-show documents Build and manage pre-production materials:
schedules, call sheets, casting notes, shoot logistics Coordinate
locations, talent, props, gear, and any production requirements
Ensure each shoot has a clear creative vision, technical plan, and
achievable timeline On-Set Production & Direction Serve as the
on-set point of contact for shoots — directing talent, capturing
content, and solving problems in real time Shoot vertical-first
content using mobile or lightweight camera setups Ensure all
footage is captured according to plan, adjusting as needed for
performance, pacing, or comedic timing Maintain a positive,
professional, and creatively supportive on-set environment
Post-Production & Editorial Workflow Partner with Editors to ensure
footage aligns with the intended creative vision Participate in
early reviews, giving clear and constructive notes on cuts Track
rounds of revisions, maintain deadlines, and ensure assets move
through the pipeline efficiently Organize assets, footage, and
project files for ease of use and future reference Cross-Functional
Collaboration Partner with Editorial Pods to test ideas, share
learnings, and relay creative experiments Work with Talent teams on
casting, micro-casting, personality testing, and building recurring
roles for formats Collaborate with Operations for scheduling,
resourcing, and production logistics Support branded content teams
when DEV concepts overlap with partnership opportunities Idea
Development & Iteration Brainstorm new formats, hooks, running
bits, and episodic ideas Identify creative opportunities based on
platform trends, audience behaviors, and data insights Participate
in post-mortems to refine future versions of formats Suggest new
workflows, templates, and production improvements Creative &
Operational Excellence Maintain strong attention to detail across
creative, scheduling, production, and delivery Communicate
proactively about timelines, blockers, and updates Keep multiple
projects organized at varying levels of development Balance fast
turnarounds with high-quality execution Qualifications: 3–7 years
of experience in production, creative development, or
social-content creation within media, entertainment, or the creator
economy Hands-on experience shooting and producing short-form
social video content Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram
Reels, YouTube Shorts, and social-first video mechanics Proven
experience managing shoots, talent, logistics, and timelines
Ability to give and take constructive creative feedback Proficiency
with lightweight camera equipment; editing familiarity is a plus
(Premiere, CapCut, etc.) Excellent organizational and communication
skills Ability to thrive in rapid-iteration creative environments
Strong instincts for storytelling, pacing, humor, and
platform-specific trends A proactive mindset — resourceful,
