Job Description:

Working as part of the Commercial Excellence team at Waters, this role requires in-depth experience with a variety of measurement and research methods, forecasting techniques, reporting and analytic platforms, project management, data sourcing and evaluation and financial analysis.

  • In this role, you will support the Waters Commercial teams by driving insights that help stakeholders better understand business trends. You will leverage reporting tools and ad hoc analysis to pull out relevant data, provide trend reporting, develop KPI metrics to better understand holistic performance, and performs deep ad hoc analysis and "what if" scenario building to better inform decisions. - In addition, you will be responsible for working with cross functional teams to develop a standardized set of reports and dashboards for sales leadership globally.


    • Partner with key stakeholders including field based Commercial Operations Directors, Sales management, Sales Enablement, Finance, Marketing, Service & IT to develop and refine as necessary metrics that will connect commercial activities to business performance and assist stakeholders in achieving annual goals.
    • Report and provide insight to support the decision-making and strategic planning of the sales and marketing management team
    • Design and construct both standardized and custom analytics tools, dashboards and reports.
    • Analyze data and provide important visualization and dashboards that clearly communicates complex data in a simple form to non-technical audience
    • Utilize multiple systems/sources including Salesforce reporting and dashboards including Tableau CRM (Einstein), Power BI, SQL and other analytical tools to deliver consistent information to the Field organizations
    • Perform historical analyses to identify trends, risks and opportunities
    • Perform analyses that will provide a clear understanding of data and drive actionable insights
    • Develop insights to help drive marketing, sales and business decisions.
    • Clearly and concisely articulate analytics findings to internal stakeholders in the form of reports and presentations.
    • Stay current on the latest analytics methodologies, platforms, and best practices.


      • BS or MS in Marketing, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or similar. MBA a plus. -
      • Experience working with Salesforce highly preferred. Solid understanding of the underlying data structure of CRM systems.
      • Minimum of 5+ years experience solving business problems through analytics (with a Bachelor's Degree) OR,
      • 4+ years experience solving business problems through analytics (with a Masters Degree)
      • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
      • Experience working as a global team member on cross functional program teams.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to succinctly summarize key findings and articulate a clear story with data and then translate to marketing/business implications.


        • Applicants must be creative individuals with ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions, as well as demonstrate skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
        • Statistical skills: This role also involves applying data analysis to solve real life business problems; therefore, it is important that applicants for the role have experience with statistical tools like R or SAS, as well as solid knowledge of programming languages such as Python
        • Computer skills: To perform the duties of this role effectively, applicants must have advanced Excel knowledge working with large data-sets (utilize complex formulas and can manipulate and transform data). They must also have experience using Tableau, Power BI, AWS QuickSight, or similar visualization software
        • Problem solving skills: Applicants must be creative individuals with ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions, as well as demonstrate skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
        • Self-starter: They must be motivated self-starter who can focus on achieving a set goal with limited supervision and have the ability to think ahead, consistently adapt and ensure on time deliverables.
