POSITION SUMMARY: Partners with value stream production team to provide quality support and expertise. Reports to respective Quality Assurance Engineer and assist with variety of quality related tasks such as special projects, new product and process validations, FSRs, continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and defect prevention. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Data Analysis - Analyze in-process data trends, such as SPC data collected through m process inspection s, provide repo I ts, and setup and troubleshoots data collection system.
• Auditing - Perform routine, directed, and random visual, dimensional, and functional checks and audits, based on MRB issues, trends, and process performance, on purchased and manufactured parts and raw material s, including checking for defects and confmmance to specifications. Responsible for recording al I inspection data and for maintaining complete and detailed records of all inspections suitable for daily or weekly publications and corrective action analysis.
• Measuring Equipment - Become proficient in the use of various microscopes, electronic and mechanical gages, including maintaining inspection equipment, and gain understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
• Lean /SS- Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, in confo1mance to SS standards.
• Training - Assist QA Engineer with quality training and tool box talks, especially communicating changes to qua Ii ty standards, procedures, and documentation. Utilize interpersonal skills to become the go-to expert for categorizing defects.
• Documentation - Assist with document revisions and updates.
• Corrective actions - Conduct and document internal/external SON investigation, and support MRB by helping defect containment efforts and investigations to determine root cause of defects. Communicate with suppliers and customers as needed, assist in establishing the corrective action required and in verifying that it is implemented.
• ISO - Support Internal ISO audit efforts by assisting lead auditors. Detect and repmi unusual conditions to proper supervision and maintain work areas in a clear and orderly condition. May require work with Central Tool Room and engineering suppmi groups.
• Software I Computers - Perfmm daily transactions in ERP system to move parts or verify based on status. Acquire sufficient lmowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SPC software, in order to perform daily tasks as required.
• Retains - Collect and store retains & quality hold material as required by GMP procedures.
• Process/Product - Gain fundamental understanding of product, process, and machine functions, in order to be able effectively train production associates, help with corrective actions, root cause analysis, and defect prevention. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous quality assurance experience preferred. Salary Range: LG5 - Starting from -$17.50 per hour, based on experience. Edgewell is an equal opportunity employer.
