Professional Engineering and Architectural team providing
innovative solutions for design-related challenges.Position
Description: Conduct critical Structural Engineering analysis,
provide input and perform technical reviews, mitigate potential
design risk, identify and solve construction challenges, and
generate optimization opportunities for pursuit and execution of
design-build and design-bid-build projects across the U.S. and
Canada.Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:Perform technical
reviews of projects to assess constructability, examine design
details, perform quantity takeoffs, andrecommend construction
sequencing and logistics as related to structural work.Review and
evaluate project specific designs, program intent, contractual
obligations, division of responsibilities, anddeliverables.Review
and assess project documentation such as drawings, basis of design
documents, specifications, reports, calculations, and shop drawings
related to structural design.Analyze elements of structural systems
developed to date, establish sufficiency of design, and identify
means of optimizing design components.Propose potential solutions
to Design/Construction team for design optimization, risk
management challenges, andconstructability improvements.Evaluate
and provide guidance for project non-conformances and operations
issues.Perform internal assessments of temporary structural
stability, equipment loads, and similar means and methodsDocuments
structural review activities in formal report formats, technical
memoranda, Bluebeam Studio sessions, and spreadsheet-based comments
lists.Establish constructive and effective relationships with
internal and external project team members to facilitate
understanding and influence design and project development.Work in
partnership with linked design disciplines to improve coordination
of design concepts (e.g. geotechnical, architecture,
code-compliance, building envelope and facade, MEFP, vertical
transportation, acoustics, and fire).Discuss and explain highly
technical subject matter with colleagues and personnel from diverse
backgrounds.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as
assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science from accredited and
credentialed degree program in Civil Engineering (Structural) and
5-10 years ofindustry experience as practicing Structural Engineer
or equivalent combination of education, training and/or
experienceProfessional Engineer (Structural) license, required
Design experience on diverse array of projects through all phases
of design and construction, requiredThink and write in highly
structured manner with creativity to develop specialized solutions
and anticipating potentialchallenges and opportunities,
requiredProgressive collapse/blast resistant design, ATFP design,
and seismic analysis experience, desiredStructural products and
costs knowledge and experienceU.S. and Canadian building design
codes and material specific standards experiencePeer reviews and/or
due diligence studies experienceGeneral understanding of embodied
carbon for structural systems. Experience with producing embodied
carbon estimates or life-cycle analyses (using Tally or OneClick
LCA or other LCA software), desiredEffective and clear verbal and
written communication skillsEnjoy working in professional
interdisciplinary team environmentDesign software for structural
analysis (ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, SAFE, GSA, etc.), general
collaboration software (e.g.Bluebeam Studio) and operation of 3D
and BIM software (e.g. Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and
SketchUp)Demonstrate commitment to continue to develop in area of
expertise and awareness of industry innovationsU.S. travel,

this position is $117,000 - $147,000 annualized.Turner is an Equal
